What Is Feng Huang Dan Cong (Pheonix Wu Long)?
Fruity, floral, tannic, and super aromatic, Feng Huang Dan Cong (also known as Phoenix Oolong Tea) has such pleasant and showy qualities unparalleled by any other kind of loose leaf tea. These qualities have led it to become one of the most popular Wu Longs (Oolong) on the market.
History of Bai Ye
Origin: Feng Xi, Wu Dong, Feng Huang Shan, Guang Dong Province, China (~500-1100m elevation)
Bai Ye has a high yield, buds early, and is easy to make with reliable outcomes. The highly pleasant peach notes make it one of the most popular teas on the market. Bai Ye means white leaf and describes the light white hue on the fresh leaves.
Often Mistaken
Bai Ye is often mistakenly sold as Mi Lan Xiang (honey orchid) but is a more economical varietal. This tea is also not the same as a varietal called Da Bai Ye.
